Cyclic Redundancy Check (CRC)

All Groups

CRC – Cyclic Redundancy Check: CRC is an error detection code that will be used to check data transmission errors. It works based on the checksum value calculated on the data to be transmitted. The checksum value is added to the data and sent out along with this data. Upon receipt of the data, the checksum value is recalculated, and Compared to the received checksum value. If the two values are equal it means that the data was received without any error or at least that was the intention of the sender. If they do not tally, then it means that there was an error in the encoding and or decoding process.
