Bluetooth

Bluetooth is a short-range wireless communication technology which enables different devices to establish connections and exchange information. Bluetooth is normally used to enable communication between handheld devices including smartphones, headphones and others. Bluetooth transmits data through the air but within a limited range. Simply put, base transceiver stations (BTSs) are the cell towers falling out of fashion. They form a cellular network that allows mobile devices to connect and power data services enabled by internet connectivity. 

A BTS consists of the components needed to enable radio communication between phones and networks, including antennas, transmitters, receivers as well as equipment for encrypting data travelling through mobile networks. 

It is capable of receiving signals from the mobile devices placed in its service area, processing them, and forwarding them to the core network for further processing. In return, it carries data from the core network to mobiles within its reach. 

BTSs are deployed in a geographic region to provide the best coverage and avoid dead areas. The number of BTS at a location is determined by many factors like population distribution, geographical constraints and more importantly the network operators need from that coverage.


One of the key elements in a cellular network is the base transceiver station (BTS). It serves to connect mobile devices with the rest of the telecommunications network, allowing for sending and receiving radio signals. BTSs are there to give coverage in specific areas and non-interruption communication for mobile users.

Extension 

An extension adds functionality or features to existing software, programs, or browsers, enhancing user experience or productivity without changing the core application. Examples include browser add-ons or plug-ins.

NAP - Network Access Point

A network access point (NAP) is hardware that can enable other wired or wireless devices to connect to a network and extend its coverage. Since NAPs are centralized physical points to interconnect different networks, they perform the role of relaying network communication between endpoints.

Session Initiation Protocol

SIP is a signalling protocol used in managing communication sessions such as voice and video calls over IP networks. SIP is used in call establishment, call control and termination of a call and also in multimedia such as phone calls, conferences, messaging and even games.

SQL or Structured Query Language is a language that is used to manipulate data that is stored in a relational database. Oracle SQL is a more universal language that enables users to query, update and manipulate data belonging to tables with other SQL languages but in a declarative manner without writing computer code.

Cloud Computing

Cloud computing is the delivery of computing services such as servers, storage, analytics, software, and many others, through cloud networks. Instead of investing in company-owned hardware equipment or data centres, companies can employ the scale, flexibility, and new methods of technology providers in cloud services.

HTTP

HTTP (Hypertext Transfer Protocol) is the application-level protocol of the World Wide Web that facilitates the connection between browsers and servers. HTTP functions in that it makes an exchange of requests from a client to a server and responds following rules.
