Overview

Virtual Server Protection (VSP) is a solution that makes it easy to back up and recover virtual machine data. You can quickly configure servers for different hypervisors, create protection plans, identify virtual machines to back up, and monitor operations from an integrated dashboard.  You can use Virtual Server Protection as a point solution for virtualization, or extend coverage to include other enterprise data such as file systems, databases, and user endpoints. You can use Virtual Server Protection as a standalone solution for virtualization using the Command Center, or alongside an existing CommCell Console deployment. When the Command Center is added to an existing Commvault deployment, previously configured entities such as servers are also available in the Command Center.
